Important Update on Refugee Family Reunion Applications
On 1 September 2025, the Home Secretary announced the suspension of Refugee Family Reunion applications. This means we are currently unable to take on any new family reunion cases.
We understand how concerning this news may be for those hoping to reunite with loved ones. At this stage, the Home Office has not provided details of what new rules or processes may follow once the suspension is lifted. We are monitoring developments closely and will share updates as soon as further information becomes available.
In the meantime, and given our limited capacity, the Refugee Rights Hub will continue to support clients with Refugee Settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) applications and Refugee Travel Document applications.
We remain committed to offering high-quality legal support with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
